I recently saw a post which posited the real revolution in AI will be ‘quiet AI’ which is just there and helps things along rather than be in your face about it.

Trusty | The Estate Binder App is my new example of this. I took a picture of a commission I had done, and it;

  • enhanced the image
  • correctly guessed that it was watercolour
  • the year
  • came impressively close to parsing the artist

/This/ is going to be the AI revolution. Solve a problem, and smooth the rough edges with AI. Don’t start with ‘I am going to do AI’ and go searching for a market.

Fun trick 1; where in a product elevator pitch is the word ‘AI’. If it’s the first, be wary. (Loaded Luxury has it in the second.)

Fun trick 2; does an app work without AI? It’s not ‘quiet AI’ if not. This is somewhat like how everyone replaced ‘database’ with ‘blockchain’ a couple years ago.

Anyhow, now to put the rest of my art in there.
