I’ll be spamming out a number of posts over the next couple days on impressions and observations I made during this past weekend’s TWST3 (3rd Troronto Workshop in Software Testing). But before I start those, here are the slides I was going to present but was bumped due to the great amount of discussion on the other presentations.

The topic for this year’s TWST was ‘Risk based testing’ and the biggest risk I (and I suspect most people in lead-ish roles) get asked is the risk to the schedule. This is much different than the normal technical risk perspective of ‘if my application does something messy, something bad will happen. My approach to reducing this time based risk can be summed up in the mnemonic SLIME which I discussed awhile back over here.
