Bj Rollison‘s most recent post has a bit of a nugget to chew on. Should test cases have duration, or a reasonable approximation of how long it should take an experienced tester to complete a particular test?

I’m not sure. My estimate are almost always in terms of ‘duration of feature’ which is a experience based number rather than a sum based upon the total individual tests. I also tend to work from lists of potential interesting testing ideas rather than a predefined set of tests in a pseudo-session-like manner.

It’s worth thinking about though.
