(This is part of an open ended series of posts where I write down random things I feel are sharable from the years of mailing lists I’ve not caught up on…)

This Part 3 of 3 of the Stacking the Bricks mailing list and covers 2025 to now. At which point I unsubscribed. The content is good, but they recycle a lot and the majority is marketing to their products, which I’m unlikely to buy. (Which isn’t a knock, it is just no longer ‘for me’.)

Part 1 and Part 2 are available also.

You’ll notice the things that get pulled decrease each time.

  • Economic pressure kills the walking dead
  • A good puzzle is designed to defeat you
  • Don’t fall in love with the problem. Fall in love with the people.
  • Most important: Love your art and it will love you back
  • Their self-publishing stack (which unfortunatly isnt a linkable article)
    • Static site on Netlify
    • Email with ConvertKit
    • Shopify Lite for checkout
    • Print on Demand with Lulu Express
    • Digital delivery with Podia
    • Zapier to glue it all together
