Mailing List Cleanup - Stacking the Bricks (Part 3)
(This is part of an open ended series of posts where I write down random things I feel are sharable from the years of mailing lists I’ve not caught up on…)
This Part 3 of 3 of the Stacking the Bricks mailing list and covers 2025 to now. At which point I unsubscribed. The content is good, but they recycle a lot and the majority is marketing to their products, which I’m unlikely to buy. (Which isn’t a knock, it is just no longer ‘for me’.)
Part 1 and Part 2 are available also.
You’ll notice the things that get pulled decrease each time.
- Economic pressure kills the walking dead
- A good puzzle is designed to defeat you
- Don’t fall in love with the problem. Fall in love with the people.
- Most important: Love your art and it will love you back
- Their self-publishing stack (which unfortunatly isnt a linkable article)
- Static site on Netlify
- Email with ConvertKit
- Shopify Lite for checkout
- Print on Demand with Lulu Express
- Digital delivery with Podia
- Zapier to glue it all together
